Tin Harbour is a small home for our apps. Your visit should not turn into a profile. Here is how we handle the information that reaches us.
Who we are
Tin Harbour is a trading name of Monivo Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16505254), 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Monivo Ltd is the data controller for personal information handled through this website and our enquiries. Our ICO registration is ZC005537.
This site
This website introduces our studio and our apps. There is no account to create, no mailing list to join and nothing to buy here. Our apps and their websites have their own privacy notices; this notice does not replace them.
When you contact us
If you email or call, we receive the information you choose to share. This can include your name, email address or phone number, and the contents of your enquiry. If you leave a voicemail, we also receive a recording of your message, which reaches us as an email attachment. We use this information to reply, provide support and deal with related follow-up. Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing.
Why we use that information
For ordinary enquiries, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people and running our studio (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Where an enquiry concerns a contract with you, or steps you ask us to take before entering one, Article 6(1)(b) may apply instead. We may also keep information where necessary to meet a legal obligation.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and any related follow-up, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Voicemail recordings are treated more strictly than the rest of an enquiry, because a recording carries your voice as well as your words. We delete the recording once we have acted on it, and within 30 days in any event. Anything we still need is kept as written notes.
Where information is needed for a legal obligation or a dispute, we keep only what is necessary for that purpose.
The services behind the site
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical information, including IP addresses and request details, to deliver pages, maintain security and investigate faults.
Our email is provided by Proton. Messages you send to us, including voicemail recordings delivered as attachments, are held in that mailbox.
Our telephone number is provided by Andrews & Arnold Ltd, a UK telecoms provider. They carry your call and deliver any voicemail to us by email. Andrews & Arnold also handle some information as a controller in their own right, for their own purposes such as billing; that processing is covered by their own privacy notice rather than this one.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We serve our own fonts, so viewing a page does not connect you to any third-party font service.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track anyone between sites or over time. It records the page viewed, the site that referred you, your country, and your device type, browser and operating system, together with measurements of how quickly the page loaded. Your IP address reaches Cloudflare as part of the request and is used to determine the country; it is not used to identify or follow you. Cloudflare keeps detailed measurements for seven days and aggregated figures after that.
Where your information goes
Some of the services behind this site are provided from outside the UK.
Proton AG is in Switzerland, which is covered by UK adequacy regulations, so no additional safeguards are required for that transfer. Proton uses its own suppliers, some of them outside Switzerland, under the safeguards set out in its data processing agreement.
Cloudflare, Inc. is in the United States. It is certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK government has approved by adequacy regulations. Cloudflare's data processing agreement also incorporates the International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which applies should that certification cease.
Andrews & Arnold Ltd is a UK company, so your call involves no transfer outside the UK by us. Their own privacy notice commits to processing no data outside the European Economic Area, which UK adequacy regulations cover in any event.
You can ask us for more information about the safeguards that apply.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it erased, or restrict its use. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where applicable, you can also request data portability or withdraw consent. These rights are subject to the conditions in data-protection law. Write to hello@tinharbour.com and we will help you exercise them. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, whether or not you have contacted us first.
